About Me

Thanks for taking the time to consider supporting me for Parliamentarian!

Being a Democrat has always been second nature to me. No political party is ever perfect, but name any major accomplishment that has been made in America over the last century, and chances are it was a Democratic congress and a Democratic president that made it happen.

Since my 12-year-old self sat on the sofa and watched in horror as our country elected a reality-TV-show host to be its leader, I have been deeply invested in politics and progressive causes. My first-ever experience in political organizing came when I was the President of my middle school's student council; I helped use my position to organize a school-wide walkout in the wake of the horrific 2018 Stoneman Douglas mass shooting.

I'm proud to continue my goal of contributing to progressive causes and fighting back against attacks on our constitutional republic as this organization's Parliamentarian:

Some things about me:

While I'm currently a junior, this is my first year at Texas. As a freshman, I attended the University of California at Berkeley as a political science major.

After transferring to Texas, I began double majoring in music education and government. I intend to pursue a career as a middle school or high school band director.

I’m also a current member and incoming section leader of the Longhorn Band.

As an aspiring music educator, the issue I'm most passionate about is protecting and funding our public schools - as well as ensuring that kids have as many opportunites as possible to pursue extracurricular activities.

Earlier this session, I testified against both the Senate and House versions of the Republican voucher bill. At one of the hearings, I had to wait until 4 A.M. to speak.

As LGBT Caucus Chair, I also helped organize legislative advocacy against anti-gay/trans legislation, including SB 12.

Since joining UDems, I have been a loyal and active member of this organization, as well as the local party. During the 2024 election, I participated in multiple lit-drops and blockwalked in Council district 6 (pictured above).

I'm also the Travis County Democratic precinct chair for my home neighborhood in Zilker (306).

A fun fact about me: For two years, I have worked as a blackjack, roulette, and craps dealer for multiple companies in Austin that throw casino parties.

Here are my two lovely kitties!
